Questions for the trustees

What would you ask the CSU Board of Trustees?

Students, faculty, staff, families, and neighbors rarely get more than a minute at a trustee meeting. Send your question here. We group what we receive into themes and publish the themes, never your words or who you are.

This feature is built but not yet switched on. The question box and the weekly brief need a small database and a spam check that are set up separately from the pages you are reading. Until then, this page shows the design and the rules; it cannot accept or display questions. Check back after the November 17–18 Board of Trustees meeting.

Up to 1,000 characters. Please leave out names of individuals and anything that could identify you. 0/1,000

Used only for totals, and only when a group has at least five questions.

How your question is handled

We don’t ask for your name or email, and we don’t record your IP address. A bot check from Cloudflare runs before anything is saved.

An AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) suggests a theme for each question and drafts neutral summary wording. A person reviews every question and makes every decision; nothing is approved, discarded, or published automatically. A moderator reads each question and assigns it to a theme. Questions that name or target individuals, include personal information, or are abusive are discarded and their text deleted right away. Approved questions count toward their theme, and their text is deleted within 90 days.

A theme appears publicly once it has at least three questions. For each theme we publish a count and one summary question, written by the moderator, that captures what people asked. See what people are asking.
